What is a POP

 

POP (Post Office Protocol) ek email protocol hai jo emails ko server se download karne aur local device (jaise computer ya phone) pe store karne ke liye use hota hai.

 

POP Ka Kaam Kaise Karta Hai?

 

1. Email Download: Jab aap apne email client (jaise Outlook, Thunderbird) par POP set up karte hain, to aapka email client server se emails ko download kar leta hai.

  

2. Server Se Deletion: Default POP setting mein, jab emails aapke device par download ho jate hain, to wo server se delete ho jate hain. Matlab server pe aapke emails nahi rehte, wo aapke local device pe store ho jate hain.

 

3. Single Device Access: POP ko use karte waqt aap sirf ek device se emails access kar sakte hain. Agar aap ne email apne computer pe download kar liya, to wo doosre device (jaise mobile) par available nahi hota.

 

POP Ki Example:

 

Maan lijiye aapne apne email account ko POP ke zariye apne computer pe configure kiya hai:

 

 Jab aap apne email client (Outlook) ko open karte hain, to server se sab emails download ho jate hain aur aapke computer pe stored ho jate hain.

Jab email download ho jata hai, to wo server se delete ho jata hai. Agar aap mobile pe apna email check karenge, to wo emails aapko wahan nahi milenge, kyunki wo server se delete ho chuki hoti hain.

 

IMAP vs POP:

IMAP: Emails server par stored rehte hain aur multiple devices se access kiye ja sakte hain.

POP: Emails device pe download ho jate hain aur server se delete ho jate hain. Aap sirf ek device se emails access kar sakte hain.

 

Ports:

Port 110: Default port for POP (unencrypted).

Port 995: Secure POP (SSL connection).

 

Summary:

POP ek email protocol hai jo emails ko server se download karne aur local device par store karne ke liye use hota hai. Ismein emails server se delete ho jate hain aur multiple devices se access nahi kiye ja sakte. Agar aapko multiple devices se emails manage karni ho, to IMAP behtar hai.

Internet Protocol (IP) Address

  IP ADDRESS IT IS A UNIQUE ADDRESS THAT WE CAN ASSIGN TO DEVICE .SO THAT DEVICECAN COMMUNICATE WITH EACH OTHER. WE CANNAOT ASSIGN SAME IP ADDRESS IN ANY TWO DEVICES IN OUR NETWORK.
